With reference to Colonial Office letter
2 No. 92666/32 of the 5th July, 1932, and to your telephone
conversation of the 8th August, regarding courses of
instruction at Marconi's Wireless Telegraph Co. Ltd.,
for members of the Wireless Staff of the Government of
Hong Kong, we have not had enquiries from any other
Government relating to the provision of such courses, although at the request of the Secretary of State, we
recently arranged similar courses for Mr. F.J. Baker,
Fostmaster, Tanganyika Territory, vide Colonial Office
letter No.14956 E. A. of the 4th August,1931, and Mr. G. Porter, Postmaster, Northern Rhodesia, vide Colonial
Office letter No.30120 E. A. of the 19th May, 1932, for which no fees were charged.
We also arranged, at the request of the Government of the Federated Malay States, a short course of this nature for Mr. G. T. Peck, Engineer, Fosts and Telegraphs Department, to which Colonial Office minute No.26695 Eastern of the 15th March, 1932, refers, and no fees were charged in this case.
I enclose, for your information, a copy of
